The Old Salem Cobblestone Farmers Market, just months into its debut, garnered national recognition in U.S. News and World Report in its recent travel guide.
The market, nestled in the shady, historic parking lots of Old Salem, opened a Saturday market in Winston-Salem and has both customers and vendors raving about the setting and the foot traffic.
Margaret Norfleet Neff and Salem Neff manage the market. They are long-time vendors at Cobblestone Farmers Market on Patterson in downtown Winston-Salem on Tuesday mornings.
"We are very humbled to be included in this list of markets and this recognition can only mean great things for this producer-only market and our local food economy in the future!" they said.
The market is one of the few producer-only markets in the region and boasts a high concentration of organic or sustainable producers.
